Beauty PantryIn March 2015, NJCCHS launched The Beauty Pantry. The Beauty Pantry is a program which aims at meeting the need of women who are victims of domestic violence, homeless or in-recovery residing in shelters within Essex, Passaic, and Union Counties. These women live below the federal poverty line and face daily challenges with meeting all of their needs including hygiene. They are plagued by low self-esteem, a lack of education and unemployment just to name a few. Even when efforts are made to seek employment, they are not equipped to present well at a job interview and lack the resources it takes for preparation.
