About Counseling

Being a man comes with many challenges. Men are expected to play the role of the provider, protector and, at times, he is expected to be number one in the life of everyone who is intimately connected to him. Sometimes life as a man can feel a little overwhelming and tough to face on a day to day basis. Financial, social and personal conflict can create feelings of distress and strain our sense of emotional well-being.

When men experience disturbing thoughts of failure or emotional events that questions their ability to protect and provide, it is often helpful to speak with a non-judgmental expert in human relations who can listen and offer a different perspective.

Some Reasons for Counseling

  • Relationship Issues
  • Stress
  • Anger
  • Depression
  • Confusion
  • Concerned about Job Security
  • Difficulty Balancing Work, Family and Social Life
  • Fear and Anxiety
  • Adjustment Problems

NJCCHS counselors provide emotional support and help clients to problem solve. Problems feel less overwhelming when fears, options and resources are shared. All communication between counselors and clients are confidential.
